Adventures for Teens


Our core adventure program for ages 14-18, male & female, with the exception of the new summer 4-day Sea of Islands Voyage, open to ages 11-13 and the North End Building Project, open to ages 13-15. Scroll down to see programs for adults. Prices include tax.
No experience necessary. Really, none at all.


Fall


Ages 13-15: North End Building Project

Build a traditional wooden boat, sea chest or musical instrument while exploring your local history. Enjoy field trips to the Maritime Museum, Lunenburg, and Windhorse Farm with your new friends. A great leadership opportunity!

Ages 14+: Build Your Own Surfboard in a WEEK!

Learn the art of shaping your very own custom made surfboard.! Taught by Patrick Bannister, this course will guide you through the creative process of board design, refine your skills in board repair and get you surfing your new ride within a week! Whether you are a life-long surfing fanatico or first-time surfer you will learn a TONNE from this course. You choose your own board type and art work. See facebook event for pictures and more info:

Ages 14-18: Backcountry Survivor

Spend your March Break vacation in the winter backcountry. Refine your survival skills building shelters, bow drill fires, cooking snow, tracking animals and much more. Learn to stay warm as you prepare for an extended solo camping experience.

Fall


Wooden Boat Sail-Training for Adults

Treat yourself to a summer-ain’t-over-till-it's-over adventure! Learn the art of sailing a traditional Nova Scotian wooden boat on the beautiful south shore, sleep outside and be on the water. Put your new skills to work as you take on Lunenburg’s best in the September Classic Wooden Boat Race, which rightly ends with a traditional salty-sailor party of note!

Basic Wilderness Skills

Challenge your body and mind in the woods of Nova Scotia. Learn the art of tracking, bow and hand drill fires, eat wild edibles, navigate by stars. Absorb silence on a solo amongst the shores of Sherbrooke Lake.

Advanced Wilderness Skills
